“Excellent colonial-style building with incredible natural surroundings, but the hotel looks neglected. The room was nice and spacious, but the bathroom smelled awful, like a sewer. I had to buy bleach and use it, but it didn't get rid of the smell. There was a leak in the sink and mold between the tiles and under the sink. I had to report it at the front desk, and they only provided one towel under after inspection. Also, the rooms didn't have air conditioning, and with the mosquitos, we...

“Beautiful house in a quaint location amongst coffee plantation. Higlighly recommended”

Muchas gracias”

“Fantastic stay. I had the sunrise cabin. Gorgeous views, modern updated cabin yet full of character and comfort. The breakfast was simple but delicious and perfect to start the day. The owners and entire team were extremely friendly and helpful beyond the scope of just standard hospitality.”

“José took us on a birding journey for 2 days! We saw close to 100 bird species thanks to his knowledge and help. Accommodations were great and so was his wife’s cooking. Thanks Jose!”

“Nice place, great owners, place to be if you want to go rafting ”

“Location was perfect for spotting birds and doing short (10-30 minutes) drives to other good birding locations. We booked the room with balcony. The room was clean and the bed was good. Patrica is the lady that manages everything. She also cooked great meals for us. So please order the lunch and dinner also there. We are very happy and enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommended!”

“Excelente lugar, limpio, ordenado. Fácil acceso”

“Custom home with breathtaking views! We stayed 4 days with our family on our first visit to Costa Rica. We enjoyed the natural beauty and the abundance of birds we saw from the expansive deck. The owner's knowledge and communication helped us plan for an unforgettable family adventure. We enjoyed our guide/driver Antonio's efforts and company so much we shared dinner together one night. Although new to his role, he will become an outstanding guide. He took the extra effort of making sure we...

“Wow, what an incredible slice of heaven. Feels like you’re a million miles away from civilization. Waking up to the sounds of the birds in the morning, dinner with Gregory (host) and sitting on the porch in the evening were highlights of the stay. It’s a commitment to get up and down the road and 4wd is essential. As such I’d recommend staying at least 2 nights w/o going down. Hosts offers horseback rides and guided hikes around the property. Might be worth checking out. Sure, the accommodations...

“I am so thrilled we booked two days here. I was not certain about it but it is such a beautiful location. The “newish” owners are so kind and welcoming. Armando, the everything guy, was our favorite CR person! He was so kind and helped with my rudimentary Spanish. My kids loved it here as well. It is not luxury, so if that is what you are looking for, this is not your place. If a great value and beautiful location and good food is what you are looking for, I highly recommend. Cabin was clean...
